Beginnings

Well, here I go…I have been thinking (more thinking than praying) about doing this for some time now. Several of my pastor friends including my brother are bloggers. I have been pushing back from the idea for a couple of reasons – mostly the fact that it is one more thing to add to my “to do” list. In other words, once I start, I am committed.

As Fellowship continues to evolve and grow it has become increasingly challenging for me to keep connected. Because our church is “homeless” our time on Sunday’s is very limited. There have been many things over the last several months that I have not had a chance to share with my Fellowship family. Things like …

· my recent trip to Moldova

· our status on our new church constitution

· my first trustee meeting with Manna Worldwide

· our purchase of a new home…we close the end of June

· some of our recent staff additions

I guess these are some things that I can catch up on over the next few weeks…stuff that I would like my Fellowship family to know about. As I write this I am getting ready to head up to Albany, New York to speak at Northway Church (my brother Buddy’s church) for the weekend. I will get to speak a total of 3 times at 2 different locations. This will be the first chance I have had to see their new campus in Clifton Park. I hear that it’s awesome.
Ryan Geiger, our new Student Pastor, will be speaking for me this weekend. I am really proud of Ryan and the transition he has made to our team. He is already making an impact in a short amount of time. Many of you don’t know how tough his transition has been to come here – but he has handled it with the utmost maturity and professionalism. As a pastor and a dad, I am glad he has our kid’s backs. I look for huge things out of Student Impact this year.
So have a great weekend… I will be praying for you.

Hi John, It's Ginger, the News Anchor who enjoyed Fellowship Church during our short stay in Philadelphia. Since I see you're going to be heading out to speak at other churches, how about taking a journey to SoCal! I'm very happy your messages are now online.. but it may be time to soak up some sun in California. We need your teaching more than anyone!!!! :-) God Bless you, your beautiful family and Fellowship Church.

Here it is June 6th and I just noticed your FIRST blog! Congratulations! I think this will be a good portal for you to connect with the church family.
I AM interested in hearing about the Moldova trip too.
We`ll be praying for you while you`re away in Russia and we`ll do our best with your kids on the weekends!

John,

I want to hear about your new home. I'm so excited for you and Michele to finally be getting into a home that's gonna' fit your growing family.

Can I come and help decorate???? I promise I won't bring any of my cute bugs for the decor! I know not everyone is as goofy about bugs as I am!

I love you and your family and sure appreciate the blessing you are to our family as well as our church!
