My dad hasn’t been in church for 35 years and he is coming today! Nothing like hearing that before you speak. No pressure. I didn’t get to meet him, but I must admit…I do love hearing from people that someone they invited is coming…Invest and Invite…it is the key to sharing Christ’s love to our community. It is the backbone of God’s vision for Fellowship. Who does God want you to invest in this week? Who can you invite?
It was great to be back with my Fellowship family today…you guys are the best! I could tell today that Jeff had been to his first conference for worship leaders. I saw a renewed sense of purpose in him today…an urgency. Way to push yourself Bro…and the new shoes were kickin’. Cranking some Dave Crowder music was way cool and we finished up strong with Come Lord Jesus Come. Great day of worship. I hope you all know how blessed we are to have Jeff.
I’m going to enjoy studying Ephesians…so much to pull out that relates to us. I’m still kind of flowing in the fact that God has chosen me in Christ…that God has adopted me. We don’t have to wait to gain tenure or seniority as Christ Followers…all his blessings are available right now! I have felt some sting of rejection lately so I find great comfort that I’m accepted by God…He believes in me. Amazing. To cap it all off we get freedom and forgiveness. He has set me free and paid the price for my mistakes…my sins. And this is the thought that I will take with me this week…There is more grace in God’s heart than there are sins in my past.
