Every Day Deserves A Chance

Dale Ward gave me a great little book by Max Lucado called, Every Day Deserves A Chance. You should check it out. Anyway, sleep has been erratic at best for me lately, so about 2:30 this morning I picked it up and started reading. Good stuff. Psalm 118:24 says, “this is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Every single day God invites us to live in the moment with joy. Not just Sundays, or holidays, or even just the good days, but every day and sleepless night we are invited to rejoice. Paul rejoiced in prison; David rejoiced in the wilderness; Jesus prayed in his garden of pain…

I like what Lucado says…”An hour is too short, a year too long. Days are the bite-size portions of life, the God-designed segments of life management…And if you can stack one good day on another and another, you will link together a good life.”

So what will you choose today? Yesterday is gone…can’t have it back…ever. Today is a gift, so treat it that way. Live in it. Don’t waste time on regrets for yesterday. Move on and embrace the moments God gives you.
