We finished up a great weekend as we closed out Vision 2007. God is calling us to redefine church in the Delaware Valley and beyond. That is part of our DNA. Sunday, we talked about our Mission…that is the “how to” part. We will Love, Lead, and Live.
- Love – Expressing love to God (worship)
- Lead – Sharing Christ with others (evangelism)
- Live – Growing in our relationship with Christ (discipleship)
It all boils down to life change. We have to keep that in front of people. I have to do a better job of looking for and celebrating life change at Fellowship. It is one of our core values. I loved John M’s faith story of how God has been working in his life. Powerful, life changing stuff! That is why we do what we do! Pray for Fellowship this week. Do you have a story that we should share on video? Has God transformed you? We would love to hear from you. Who knows how God could use your story to work in someone else’s life?

The most encouraging thing for me to take from the Vision 2007 messages was actually yesterday when John read Matthew 5:16. What I take from that is that I need to keep living my life, being a Christ follower and continue to be an example to others. I need to be patient. I sometimes feel I need to be more vocal and abrupt which I struggle to do sometimes. I learned through all of this, that I need to continue to let my life be an example and let the Holy Spirit work from there. But then again, I still need to "walk across the room", so I need to find the happy medium along the way. I hope that through my journey I can get to that point.
I appreciate seeing and hearing of testimonies such as John M. It takes a lot of courage for folks like that to spill out their life stories in video or in person for all to see. Its because of living testimonies that I personally know what to look out for in my own life, marriage and my relationship with Jesus. People like him are living testimonies. A reality check in our own lives. Thanks John M.
The testimony of John M. resonated with a personal moment in my life a few years ago. As a result, many changes have occurred... mostly an awareness of my spirituality. I have always felt a connection to God, but am truly starting to understand what it means to be spiritual. I still struggle with trying to understand God's plan from time to time, but I have moments of clarity where it seems to make sense. Perhaps this is part of God's plan that will allow me to proceed with more moments of clarity, and less time to struggle with understanding Him.
