Catalyst Conference

I’m writing tonight from Atlanta. I get to hang out with our staff this week at the Catalyst Conference. Catalyst is a leadership conference that has exploded in the last several years. They are expecting around 10,000 this year. I came last year with Gus and it was such a big hit that we are bringing the entire team back this year. This is the first event we have experienced as a team so I am looking forward to being stretched and challenged as a group. I know it is an experience that will knit us together more closely and raise the bar for how we reach out to our community. I will blog tomorrow night about our day. You can click on this link http://www.catalystspace.com/ to check out the conference and learn more about catalyst. They have an awesome podcast that I listen to regularly. Pray for us that God will use this time to encourage us and raise the bar for our team.

15 years ago I worked in an oil refinery and they had extensive training on the processes. Catalyst was added to the oil process in order for refinement. As the oil heated, the vapors would rise and certain chemicals were made at whatever temperature those particular molecules were cooled at.

The staff at Fellowship is called to be the catalyst responsible for the refinement of Christ followers. Each and every believer at fellowship is refined to a certain degree. Some are teachers while others set up and greet folks as they walk in on Sunday mornings. We are one body made up of several parts.

I pray that the staff will be refined this week by the greatest of catalyst of all that we find in Christ Jesus.

In His Grip,
Chuck
