We did a really cool video shoot for our Christmas weekend services today. I think it will surprise you. I love it as God continues to grow us from a creative standpoint. We are doing a second shoot later today that we will be using in our first series of 2008 entitled Live Different.
Buddy Thigpen and I met with a local company that has invested heavily in the Russia ministry yesterday. I thought Buddy did awesome! Please pray that God will continue to open avenues of funding and provision as we partner with Buddy to make an impact in Russia. Did you know that Russia is so large that it actually covers eleven different time zones? There is much to do.
The government in Russia continues to make it difficult for foreigners to help in their country. A new law passed recently states that a missionary can get a 90 day visa and then must exit the country for 90 days before they can return. What is up with that?
Buddy is going back on January 3rd to prepare for their Christmas celebration. Russians celebrate Christmas in January. Pray for him as he continues to try and raise his personal funding. Things in Russia have become increasingly expensive.
Pray for our staff and their families as we put the finishing touches on this weekend. Things are getting particularly stressful for some of them as we get close. The enemy has his sights on them and their families. The ripple effect when one of our pastors or staff struggles is huge!
