Random Musings From A Twisted Pastor

It took me 90 minutes to get home last night because of the snow! What is up with that?

We/I got some criticism from another local church this week …seems like the pastor told one of his members who is friends with someone from Fellowship to “stay away from people like her who go to churches where they wear jeans, play contemporary music and only care about numbers.”

I beg to differ…we don’t play contemporary music anymore…we flat out ROCK IT BABY! I take offense at someone calling our music contemporary…and our jeans aren’t plain old jeans…they have cool holes in them …and don’t even get me started on the numbers (see Wednesday’s post)…by the way…criticism is a great thing…Jesus got it all the time from traditionalists.

I got an email from my 8 year old Gracie today (I think she needed it for Webkins…I know she is too young for email…don’t start with me) and this is what it said… “hi dad”. I sat here and just stared at it smiling like crazy. I couldn’t help but think that is how God feels when I write in my journal to Him.

I’m loving the new McDonalds commercial…I love nuggets y’all …I love my nuggets y’all…ketchup and mayo…ketchup and mayo…

Thanks to my brother Buddy for taking care of my folks this week in Springfield, MO. He bought them a new TV (he thinks I’m splitting it with him) for my parents that they can actually see. How cool is that? He is a great example of “living generous”. We will talk about living generous this Sunday.

Have you done anything spontaneous yet this week?

i didn't want to have to say this, but we all know that true Christians wear three-piece suits (even to bed) and would never ever think of tapping their feet to worship music...true christian women don't wear lipstick either...

Twisted Pastor? Wasn't that an 80's hair band? The good thing is that other churches/people are talking about Fellowship - positive or negitive. You should only be worried when people stop talking about it. As for your 90 minute trek, I'll think about you this week on my way to church in shorts and flip flops (no snow in the forecast).

It was great to see you and Michelle on Sunday! You are such a blessing to Mike and I can't wait to get to know you and Michelle better. Let's get together at our house soon. Sorry about your luck with the snow I asked the BIG GUY for it! I had a blast with my kids in the snow! Take care-Naomi

Hey...I'm very proud of Fellowship! I kind of take offense to the things said! Anyway, looking forward to seeing the church in Camden on Sunday that Fellowship has connected with. It will definitely be a spontaneous visit! I emailed Keith Davis and I got a very warm response back from him. He wanted me to tell you hello. I'll be proud to show off Fellowship Church this Sunday! On the doppler front.... are you sure you're not the type of person that drives 20 mph when they see white stuff falling from the sky? There are those type of people too....and maybe that attributed to the 90 min drive!
