After what seems like endless doctor’s appointments and tests my Dad has been scheduled for surgery this Friday afternoon. They will be going in to remove the cancer in his lung. I don’t know a lot of the details other than it will be a very painful recovery time for him following the surgery. I am checking into available last minute flights today so I can be there if at all possible.
Thank you to all of you who have been praying for my Dad and my Mom. They are very resilient and have strong faith but I can tell this has taken a toll on them. Dad continues to have serious pain in his back and legs that is not related to the cancer or this surgical procedure. Please continue to lift them up in prayer this week. I will keep you posted as I get more information.

My dad is having some tests done on his kidneys and hes in Jacksonville so I know it stinks when you can't be there. I pray you are able to find a flight!!

Please know that Matt and I are praying for a safe trip to see your Dad (we were so glad you were able to find a flight). I'm sure it will be very comforting to both your Dad and Mom to know you will be with them for his surgery. We will be praying for the surgery, results and recovery for your Dad.
