The Power Of Words

Sunday we are kicking off a two week series called the "power of words." Think about it. We grew up saying “sticks and stones may break my bones but names (words) will never hurt me.” Yeah right. How many of you still remember painful things you heard as a young person. I have counseled people who are still devastated by the words they heard or didn’t hear growing up. The Bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. I’m sure we have all been on the other side when we wished we could get back the words we have spoken. I have eaten some serious shoe leather in my life (I know that is of little surprise to those who know me well).

I’m looking forward to unpacking the power of words over the next couple of weeks. Are you satisfied with the way you speak? Do you wish you had the courage to say more in some areas and the self control to say less in other areas? Come check it out and bring a friend , coworker, or neighbor with you this Sunday.

If I didn't love my pastor so much(he is my husband) I would be at your church Sunday! I know your Church rocks! I hope I am allowed to say that. I will be praying for you and my husband as you both prepare for Sunday! Take care,Naomi

Thanks Naomi. I appreciate your prayers and God has made Fellowship a "rockin' church." I look forward to spending some time with you and Matt in Dallas!
