It is starting to sink in! We are waiting to go in and tell Dad the good news! You should have heard my kids screaming in the background when I was talking to Michelle. I think I need to cry...what a wuss I am! Seeing my Dad going in for his surgery and giving us the big thumbs up. The more things change, the more they stay the same. He has been declaring for weeks that He believed God was going to heal him. What a lesson in faith. I stink at faith...but today God has showed me his strong hand. I called Dr.Brian Hasson because he has been such a great friend through this. Thanks Brian! Buddy has music blaring on his laptop right now about the enemy being defeated! I think we will be getting kicked out of the hospital soon...who cares. God kicked some serious butt today!
You should have seen the doctor's face. Not sure if he believed what he was telling us. He asked us to remember him in our prayers...God thanks for the skills you have blessed our doc with. I lift him up to you today. Not sure where he is on his journey but I pray that you would speak to him through this and draw him to you. I love you God. Not just because you healed my Dad...you continue to heal me everyday. I love you because you continue to reveal yourself to me. What a ride Jesus. I pray for the sweet family that shared the waiting room with us today. Their news was not good and they have a tough road ahead. I hate that for them but I know you love them. What a paradox today has been...

John,
Looks like the artillery of prayers, your Dad's positive attitude, and God guiding the surgeon's hands proved too much for what ailed your father. What awesome news!! What a relief it must have been for your Mom, Buddy, Kristin, you and the rest of your family to hear it wasn't cancer. We'll continue to pray for your Dad's recovery, and there are plenty of prayers left over for the families you shared the waiting room with. God is so great!!
Rich
God you are amazing! Thank you for displaying your wonder in this life. Thank you for stretching our faith and reminding us that You are before ALL things, and in You ALL things hold together!
How what an amazing miracle!! We are so glad to hear that your dad is going to be ok. I have been reading Streams in the Desert, and this was at the end of one of the devotions and I thought it was so great:
"Go to the deeps of God's promise,
And claim whatsoever ye will;
The blessing of God will not fail thee,
His Word He will surely fulfill."
What an awesome God we serve!
John, We at the Fields' house are rejoicing with you. We are bombarding heaven with as many prayers of praise and thanksgiving as we were for healing earlier. Ain't God GREAT?!?!! : ) JOY
Thanks Rich and thanks for continuing to pray for the family that shared the waiting room with us.
Mike - you said it better than I could - looking forward to hanging out in Dallas next week!
Thanks Marcy - God is awesome!
Joy, are so right! This celebration is worthy of a one of your famous pies...I'm not going to stop hinting until you give in!
