I’m sitting with the family watching Bionic Woman. You know it’s about the family time for me. I like the show Life that comes on next…it’s growing on me…nothing like hanging with the family and being together.
I did sink to an all-time low last Saturday…I have to get it off my chest…I can’t carry this burden alone anymore…it should stay in bloggerland…okay here it is…I have to get it out…okay, here goes…in a moment of sheer boredom…while channel surfing…I watched…The Brady Bunch movie! Can you believe it? I really need you to keep it between us…its embarrassing! What’s worse was that I was laughing like crazy. I grew up on the Brady Bunch. I think every guy my age was in love with Marcia…Buddy had a thing for Jan. Really, I only watched about 25 minutes because I heard Michelle coming down the hall…
Wow. I feel better. I have my dignity back. Thanks for listening. Today was Emily’s last soccer game…I really enjoyed watching her play this year. Sunday caps off the end of the season for Bailey, Drew, and Grace and life slows down for us some.
I’m getting ready for my talk this Sunday. I’m hitting the urban legend that God will never give you more than you can handle. In a real life twist, tonight I found out some tough news about a guy that I had the privilege to baptize about 5 months ago. His name is Mike and he fell 40 feet while working on a tree. He is in critical condition at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. He went through extensive surgery yesterday and will be back in tomorrow for more. He broke his back in 3 places and shattered both ankles. He never lost consciousness so I can only imagine the agony he went through. They are not sure if he will be able to walk again. His sister Linda is an active part of Fellowship and serves faithfully with her husband Rob. Please pray for their family. It is real touch and go right now. I talked to Linda tonight and you could hear the exhaustion in her voice. If you think of it, please pray for Mike and his family.

Glad you have your dignity back John! I am praying for Mike, Linda, Rob, and their family. I hate the expression, "God won't give you more than you can handle." I have a come back line for that every time. "God and I are in difference to what I can handle." Although, they don't call it "growing pains" for nothing.
Have a great day!
Thanks Betty. I love your comeback line...might have to use that Sunday!
