This has been one of the most difficult two day stretches I have ever experienced. Fellowship has lost an amazing 18 year old student. His parents are great friends and have a huge part in our church. Words fail to express what this family is going through right now. Please pray for our church and this family that has suffered such a tragic loss.
I spent this morning looking through my Bible at verses on grief, mourning, sorrow, and comfort. I want to share one passage that seemed to jump out at me.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.

I want to offer my prayers to the family, church, congregation, pastors, and young people that all loved this young man and are affected by his loss.
