My Pops has lung cancer. We found out yesterday and are still kind of processing it all. For what it is worth yesterday was a good day and it meant the world to me to be here with them when the news broke. The first round of news was that the “mass” was cancer and then several hours later we found that it is probably in one or two of the lymph nodes as well. Brian Hasson (a cancer doc in my church) has been a God-send through this to us. I know it stinks for him to deliver this kind of news to me but just having someone I trust who is answering my our questions has been huge. My time with my parents has meant the world to me this week.
One last thing…I had more hits on my blog yesterday than at any other time since I started this thing. That tells me that many of you were checking in to see what we found out. You guys blessed me and encouraged me in a huge way so please accept my heartfelt thanks. We are going to get through this. Our family is strong and our God is stronger. Thanks again for all your support and prayers.

no words, just (((((hugs))))) and tons of prayers...
I don't know what to say but my prayers continue for you and your family.
John,
Naomi and I have been praying for your family and will continue to pray. Hang in there...We're here for you and would love to help you in anyway that we can! I mean that!
It's really hard to say something comforting during a time like this. Wendy, Betty and Mike said it best...prayer. But the one consolation here is how awesome it is that you have a church family to be praying and supporting! Just think there are two rockin' Cremeans' churches that are praying hard for you dad! And the chain extends way beyond that too. The truly sad situations are the people that have no hope or nowhere to turn for peace. How sad that truly is! A family that has its focus on "the end in sight" as you preach it, is a family that sticks together and will draw strength from Him. No question about it.
You are an amazing person for sharing all of this. Thank you for giving us the honor of praying for you and your entire family. What a blessed person you are to have come from a family such as this. Prayers to your wife as she stands in the gap while you are gone.
John, Michelle and kids --- news of Chuck's latest battle has hit Ramseur, North Carolina and the prayer warriors are being called on as I type. Chuck, Mary, you (John), Kristen and Buddy have all impacted First Christian Church and its members. We love you guys and are standing with you All in prayer. Our GOD is bigger than this and His grace Is and always will be sufficient.

Cremeans Family,
We, your church, are behind you. In prayer and with great love. Thank you
Thanks to Wendy and Betty. I appreciate your prayers. Mike, I'm looking forward to hooking up next Thursday for our first "pastor's lunch". Thanks to you and Naomi!
Thanks Jeff - prayers is an amazng thing. Thank God for two rockin' churches!
Debbe thanks for your prayers and for lifting up Michelle this week.
Alan and Lisa - a blast from the past. How cool was it to see your comments today. I'm sitting here with Mom and Dad and it meant a lot for them to hear that you and the rest of our friends at First Christian are praying! Their spirits are great - please pass along our greetings to the rest of your wonderful church.
Rob, Leslie and Dan - thanks so much for your comments and for your prayers. I really appreciate it!
