I just go off the phone with Michelle and wined (yes I am a real wuss from time to time)to her about how much I miss her and my beautiful kids. My house is SO QUIET! Looks like they will be staying the better part of next week as well to help out with my parents.
My dad had to have another surgical procedure on Friday to get a biopsy on the nodes on the outside of his lungs before the surgeon would agree to surgery. He is resting up from that latest episode today. Many props to Michelle for driving them to and from the doctors and hospitals. She has been a huge help.
I went over to Gus and Laurie’s tonight and watched a romantic comedy…now I really miss Michelle! Thanks Gus!
One highlight of my evening was to stop by the clubhouse at the Village Creek and officiate the renewal of vowels for JoAnne and Gail Oxley. It was awesome! To know what these people have been through and to understand how Gail’s illness will progress made their remarks to each other priceless.

You are more than welcome to come over here and experience the Genthert boys plus half the neighborhood at any given time. I love our organized chaos, I wouldn't have it any other way. I know just what you mean though, in those rare moments alone I think to myself wow, it's just too quiet here! We continue to pray for the results of the latest tests for your Dad. Michelle is such a wonderful woman and I'm sure she is such a help and comfort to your parents. Hang in there, they will be home before you know it and the quiet house will be a distant memory:)
