Day One

Today was a great day. The worship here is pretty incredible. They ended up with over 11,000 here this year. Andy Stanley kicked it off with a great talk this morning...He really challenges me as a leader and a visionary...sometimes we can stop dreaming...we settle. I think I have been guilty of that lately. God is cranking me back up. That is why times away like this are so valuable for me. Our team is loving it! I have gotten some great insight into their lives already. This is a great chance for God to build synergy into all of us.

It has been a long day for us...what's up with our Phillies? Keep praying for us that God will continue to challenge and stretch us tomorrow!

I`m so glad you WANT to do these things. I agree that it is vital to your spiritual health. I`m glad that some staff was able to go too. I pray you all come back fired up and with new insight.

From someone who is a veteran of a lot of leadership and management conferences, I know exactly what you mean. You definitely get some practical information you can use, but I think about 80% of the benefit is to get your mind moving again. Often I think we just need a change in scenery to spark something inside. Add in some inspirational people and you'll get your mojo in a hurry. Glad that the conference was so great - See you soon!
