It is good to have my parents in town for a couple of days. Yesterday we drove back to our old stomping grounds in West Chester. Lot of memories came flooding back. We drove to King of Prussia to find the town home we lived in for a year when our family transferred here from Florida. I was 5 then…a long time ago. Nobody said it out loud but I think we were all relieved to see our town home and house in West Chester in good shape. So much has changed in the time we have been gone. I really enjoyed hearing the stories I couldn’t remember about seeing our first snow and riding bikes…kids stuff. I wish I could remember more.
It will be good to have the folks at church today. They follow us so closely it will be great for them to see it up close. Tonight, Dad and I are going to the Eagles game! What a cool time.
It’s always good to come home. Wow, are there some spiritual applications there. The truth is with God you can always come home. You can never go so far that his grace will not reach you…never too far for his love to forgive you. In reality that is what most Sundays are about…people coming home.
